The residents of the Bear Springs Trails subdivision authorized the creation of Bear Springs Trails Water Supply Corporation, Inc. (BSTWSC) in 2013 to purchase and operate the water system that supports the subdivision.  The water system is the neighborhood's only authorized source of water as residents are not allowed to operate private wells.  BSTWSC is owned by the residents of the subdivision, and they are its only customers.  The Public Water Commission of Texas approved the transfer of the water system to the BSTWSC in November 2015.  The BSTWSC's mission is to operate a clean, efficient, non-profit, responsive, and responsible utility.
